𝐒𝐂𝐂 𝐏𝐄 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐮𝐫-𝟏 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐔𝐒𝐌 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐟 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭
Mr. Jay Niño Candido, a faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), placed first in the Male Amateur-1 category during the USM First Flight Inaugural Disc Golf Tournament and Seminar-Workshop, held on January 21–24, 2026, at the University of Southern Mindanao (USM), Kabacan.
The event gathered disc golf players for a tournament alongside a seminar-workshop focused on rules and basic competition standards.
Mr. Candido recorded the highest finish in his division, earning him a slot as one of the qualifiers from the seminar-workshop.
As the lone qualifier from Midsayap, Mr. Candido is set to compete at the Jose V. Yap Sports and Recreational Complex in San Jose, Tarlac, where he will join other players advancing from similar events.
Mr. Candido was also certified as a Rules Official by the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) during the seminar-workshop, qualifying him to officiate games under PDGA rules.
