SCC Holds Startupreneurship Seminar for 2nd Year Students

In line with its commitment to nurture innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among students, Southern Christian College held the first session of its Startupreneurship Seminar on March 7, 2026, attended by second-year students from various academic programs.

The seminar introduced participants to the fundamentals of technopreneurship and startup development through a set of learning modules designed to cultivate entrepreneurial thinking and innovation-driven problem-solving.

During the first session, students were guided through 14 key modules that explored the essential stages of building and validating startup ideas.

The discussions emphasized the importance of identifying real-world problems, understanding target users, and developing innovative yet practical solutions. Students were also introduced to modern startup frameworks such as Design Thinking, Lean Canvas, and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) development, which are widely used in today’s innovation and startup ecosystems.

Through the seminar, participants gained insights into how ideas can be transformed into viable startup concepts by validating them through customer feedback, market analysis, and strategic pitching.

The Startupreneurship Seminar is part of a continuing initiative aimed at strengthening students’ entrepreneurial competencies and encouraging them to shift from a purely job-seeking mindset toward becoming potential job creators and innovators.

Following the first session, the next seminars are scheduled for third-year students on March 14, 2026, and fourth-year students on March 21, 2026, where participants will undergo advanced modules.

By introducing startup concepts into the academic setting, SCC continues to reinforce its vision of holistic education, empowering students not only with academic knowledge but also with practical skills that prepare them to respond creatively to the evolving demands of society and the economy.
