SCC President Edwin T. Balaki, PhD, personally received the recognition from the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XII (CHEDROXII), honoring the institution’s outstanding board examination performance, particularly the achievements of its Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) program and its top-performing graduate in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).
The recognition highlighted SCC’s 100% passing rate in the September 2025 Social Work Licensure Examination, earning the institution the distinction of Top 1 School in the examination. Also recognized was Ms. Ruzel Cae Cabalbal, who placed in the Top 9 of the September 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).
Dr. Balaki received the awards during the culmination program held at the Sultan Kudarat Convention Center, accompanied by Ms. Ruthie V. Tejero, Global Education Focal, and Mr. Jay Mark Ferenal, Accreditation In-charge.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, selected SCC students who participated in the ASEAN Amazing Race and the ASEAN Getting-to-Know Video also attended the culmination.
The recognition serves as another milestone for Southern Christian College as it continues to strengthen its academic programs and produce competent, globally oriented, and socially responsive graduates.
SCC extends its sincere gratitude to CHEDROXII and the Transnational Higher Education Office for recognizing the institution’s accomplishments and for their continued support of initiatives that advance quality, excellence, and internationalization in higher education.
