SCC Hosts 13th BHT Congress, Showcasing Tourism and Culinary Skills
Southern Christian College (SCC) took the lead in organizing the highly successful 13th Business, Hospitality, and Tourism (BHT) Student Congress and Skills Competition 2025. Held at the SCC Kniffin Peace Park on October 25, 2025, the event brought together students from various schools in the PPALMA area under the expansive theme, “One Heart, Three Worlds: Air, Land, and Sea — Tourism and Sustainable Transformation.”
The congress successfully brought together participating high schools and SCC’s Hospitality Management students to engage in rigorous skills competitions. The event served as a crucial platform for young talents to showcase their abilities in the highly competitive hospitality and tourism sectors.
Participating schools from the PPALMA area included Nicaan High School, Alamada High School, Dado High School, Villarica National High School, and the Southern Christian College Hospitality Management students. Representatives from Nicaan, Alamada, Dado, and Villarica High Schools joined SCC hosts to showcase their mastery of the trade. The competitors dazzled judges with their culinary innovations, executed flawless table skirting techniques, and demonstrated high-level artistic flair in immersive space decorating.
From the breathtaking competitions to the overall showcase of talent, creativity, and passion, the event truly reflected the spirit of its theme, emphasizing Tourism Towards Sustainable Transition. The congress reinforced the idea that success in the BHT industry requires not only technical skill but also a commitment to sustainable practices that integrate the domains of air, land, and sea.
The organizing team and participants collectively proved that great things are achieved when teamwork, passion, and excellence are combined, inspiring future professionals to lead the industry toward a responsible and integrated future.
