Lifeline for Learners: SCC Launches Student Assistance Fund (SAF) Loan for First Semester A.Y. 2025-2026
Southern Christian College (SCC) has launched the expanded Student Assistance Fund (SAF) Loan to provide timely financial relief to students approaching the examination period for the Second Semester A.Y. 2024-2025.
The program, spearheaded by the College Supreme Government (CSG), offers a crucial financial safety net designed to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder students’ academic progress.
The fund addresses two critical sources of student anxiety: tuition balances and health emergencies. Through the Tuition Fee Assistance (TOFA), students can settle accounts to secure exam permits. Simultaneously, the Medical Assistance Fund (MAF) ensures that health crises do not compromise academic progress. Together, these pillars provide a safety net that allows learners to focus on preparation rather than payments.
đ TOFA Guidelines & Loan Details
To ensure a smooth process for the Second Semester, the CSG has released specific guidelines for the Tuition and Other Fees Assistance (TOFA):
- Loan Limit: Applicants can avail of a maximum amount of Php 3,000.00 per examination (specifically during Prelims, Midterms, and Finals).
- Submission Deadline: Applications must be submitted and complied with three (3) days before the examination date. This lead time is strictly required to allow for CSG and Bank processing procedures.
- Voucher System: Upon approval, a voucher indicating the approved amount will be provided to the applicant to present to the Finance Office.
- Zero Interest: The amount will be paid without interest.
- Repayment Terms: The payment of the assistance must be within 30 days after the release date of the amount.

- Penalties for Late Payment: Failure to pay the exact amount after 30 days will result in the student being blacklisted OR charged 5% of the amount. Additionally, the student will not be allowed to avail of any assistance for the entire semester.
