SCC Student Wins Top Honors at PACSA National Convention

Southern Christian College (SCC) congratulates Mr. Laurence Calasara, a fourth-year BSEd Science student from the College of Teacher Education (CTE), for his remarkable achievement at the Philippine Association for Campus School Advisers (PACSA, Inc.) National Midyear Convention 2025 in Tagum City, Davao del Norte, held from April 2-4, 2025.

Mr. Calasara’s research, “Program-Based Learning Approach in Enhancing Eco-Literacy of Junior High School Students,” was recognized as the leading presentation, earning him the first-place award. He also received the Best Abstract award and was named Best Research Presenter.

This research, which also garnered attention at an international conference, demonstrates the practical and significant contributions SCC students make to their respective fields. Mr. Calasara’s success amongst 100 participating institutions underscores SCC’s commitment to impactful research and academic excellence.
