SCC Completes Faculty Onboarding Program

Southern Christian College (SCC) recently completed its faculty onboarding program for members of the School of Basic Education (SBE) and the Higher Education Unit (HEU), which aimed to equip educators with essential knowledge and tools to deliver Whole Person Education.

The SBE conducted its onboarding sessions from June 1 to 4, 2026, while the HEU concluded its orientation on June 18, following sessions held from June 15 to 18, 2026.

The program convened faculty members for a series of orientations to strengthen their understanding of SCC’s systems, policies, and services.

Different offices facilitated discussions on key topics related to academic responsibilities, institutional processes, student support services, and other areas that help faculty members effectively carry out their roles as educators.

More than an introduction to College operations, the onboarding program emphasized SCC’s commitment to developing educators who are prepared to nurture students holistically. Through the sessions, faculty members were oriented on practices and approaches that support the delivery of Whole Person Education as part of its strategic direction.

The activity also provided an opportunity for faculty members to connect with various offices and understand how each unit contributes to creating a supportive learning environment.

Through the successful completion of the onboarding program, SCC continues to strengthen faculty capacity and ensure that its educators remain informed, prepared, and committed to the College’s mission of providing transformative education.
