The Southern Christian College – College of Agriculture (COA) celebrated its 55th founding anniversary with a vibrant and engaging COA Week, held from January 27-31, 2025. The week-long celebration highlighted the college’s spirit, talent, and commitment to agricultural excellence.
COA Week 2025 began with a religious convocation, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an orientation at the SCC campus farm.
The first two days featured a variety of competitions open to all COA students, fostering creativity, teamwork, and friendly rivalry. These events included a yell and cheer competition, miniature farm village design, poster making, a slogan contest, dish garden creation, a board game tournament, and booth making.
On the third day, students and faculty demonstrated their athletic skills in men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball tournaments.
The fourth day featured “Fiesta sa Nayon,” a celebration of local culture, followed by a lively bingo raffle. A team-building activity further strengthened bonds among the students.
COA Week 2025 culminated on the fifth day with a “Culmination Night” at SCC Kniffin Park. The highlight of the evening was a ceremony honoring the newly licensed agriculturists: 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗧. 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗼, 𝗟.𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶, 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗮𝘆 𝗖. 𝗚𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗟.𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗹 𝗟𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗱 𝗖. 𝗔𝗰𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗱𝗼, 𝗟.𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶.
