SCC Holds Successful Earthquake-Fire Drill

Southern Christian College (SCC) successfully conducted the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake and Fire Drill on June 18, 2026.

The drill was spearheaded by the SCC Emergency Response Team (ERT) and actively participated in by the entire SCC community, including students, parents, faculty members, and staff across all units.

To ensure proper assessment and compliance with safety protocols, the activity was evaluated by representatives from the Midsayap Bureau of Fire Protection, the Midsayap Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and the Midsayap Philippine National Police. Their presence provided technical guidance and validation of the institution’s emergency response procedures during the simulation.

The exercise focused on strengthening awareness and readiness in responding to earthquake-related emergencies, with participants guided through proper evacuation procedures and safety measures.

The activity forms part of the nationwide initiative aimed at reinforcing disaster risk reduction and ensuring that institutions are equipped to respond effectively during emergencies.
