SCC Celebrates Culmination of 2024 National Women’s Month

Earlier today, Southern Christian College marked the culmination of the 2024 National Women’s Month celebration. Under the theme, “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan Patutunayan,” the event highlighted the capabilities of women in shaping a fair and progressive society.

The ceremony featured the announcement of winners in the Phonetography and Spoken Word Poetry competitions, showcasing the creative talents and expressions of the students.

Distinguished guests, Dr. Elma Neyra, Director for Abundance, and Dr. Neyrma Cabatac, Vice President for Academic Affairs, graced the occasion, symbolizing empowered leadership and support for gender equality.

In attendance were members of the Gender and Development Focal Point System, led by Ms. Debbie Dasang, as well as scholars from Bread for the World, students from the Gender and Society course, and officers of the College Supreme Government.

The event not only celebrated the achievements of women but also served as a platform to advocate for equal opportunities and recognition for women in all sectors of society.
