Today, March 25, 2024, Southern Christian College (SCC) in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)- Midsayap organized an Earthquake and Fire Drill on campus to participate in the 1st Quarter National Drill.

Spearheaded by Safety Officer Cynthia Tagud, the exercise aimed to enhance preparedness and response capabilities in the face of potential emergencies.

The drill witnessed active participation from the entire SCC community including faculty, staff, and students, who engaged in simulated evacuation procedures and safety protocols. Integral to the success of the drill were the diligent efforts of SCC responders, Medics, Building Marshalls, and SCC Firefighters who ensured the smooth execution of emergency procedures. The Midsayap Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and the REACT Midland Group, Inc. also showed their support by the presence of their personnel today.

Through meticulous coordination and proactive measures, SCC demonstrated its commitment to safeguarding the welfare of its constituents and fostering a culture of safety within its premises. Such initiatives serve as vital reminders of the importance of preparedness and vigilance in mitigating the impact of unforeseen events.
