SCC-College of Social Work has just proven that indeed, excellence is its way of life and ministry in the recently concluded Biennial Convention of the National Association for Social Work Education, Inc. (NASWEI), at Green Leaf Hotel, General Santos City
On the first day of the event, Mr. John Karlo Ballentes, SCC-CSW alumnus, delivered the keynote address to more than 200 participants. His speech which he titled FROM SYNERGY TO STARFISH received applause from both participants and guests of the convention.
The JSWAP (now PhilSoWSA), received an award from the JSWAP National Council as one of the Most Outstanding JSWAP Chapters. The plaque was personally received by its president, Mr. Adrian Dullesco. This award is a manifestation of the organization’s commitment to be of service to Social Work Students of SCC. Thanks to the path of excellence which was paved by previous JSWAP Presidents and Chairpersons.
Finally, as SCC-CSW’s imprint in the national arena of social work education, former CSW Dean, Ms. Melody Arandela-Ambangan, was elected by the NASWEI assembly as the Board of Director for Membership. She also served the Association being its Vice-President for Mindanao for two terms which commenced in 2018 and will end on December 2023.
