NATIONAL ACHIEVERS

The SCC Board of Trustees headed by Chairman Moises Arendain gave #tokens to the following #National Achievers who brought honor and pride to SCC:

1) John Alexander Talosig for winning 1 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze medals for 6 swimming events during the Palarong Pambansa 2017 held in Antique City last April 23-29, 2017. He was coached by Ma’am Lyndell Grace A. Valdez.

2) Emmanuel Rave Sumugat, a JHS Grade 10 student, for winning First Place in the Science Investigatory Project (Individual Category) during the 14th National Science Quest held in Teacher’s Camp, Baguio City last February 9 to 11, 2017. He represented Region XII together with his coach, Ms. Anawim Rebosura.

#NewestPride: #SCC continues its winning streak in the Bb. Midsayap pageant as the stunning Ms. Chrislyn Jabonero, a 2nd year BSBA student, bagged this year’s coveted crown.

Being home to talented & beautiful people, SCC also got the Ms. Environment title thru Lynette Cabañog, a 3rd year BSED student.

On Friday, July 31, the College of Teacher Education celebrated their acquaintance party with the theme “Wear your childhood ambition”. SCC Vice president for Academic Affairs Dr Ma. Elena B. LET 2014 RESULTS: SCC CELEBRATES SUCCESS OF 76 NEW TEACHERS

Southern Christian College was is in high spirits late this afternoon, October 27. The school’s media center announces the success of SCC’s new professional teachers from the August 2014 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).

A total of 76 SCC alumni who took the board examination successfully passed and are now professional teachers. Thirty-seven (37) from the Elementary Education (43.66% passing rate for first timers, 24.83% for overall), thirty-nine (39) from the Secondary Education (45.21% passing rate for first timers, 26.00% for overall), the PRC results reveal.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) announces that 25,301 elementary teachers out of 70,786 examinees (35.74%) and 26,767 secondary teachers out of 77,803 examinees (34.40%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.) given last August 17, 2014.

SCC President Dr. Edwin T. Balaki extended his felicitations to the success of the examinees and to their parents for making Southern Christian College their choice to enrol their students.

The exam was given last August 17, 2014 in Hong Kong and 24 testing centers all over the Philippines. It is further announced that of the 25,301 elementary teacher passers, 21,649 are first timers and 3,652 are repeaters. For the secondary teachers, 23,820 passers are first timers and 2,947 are repeaters.
