MIDSAYAP, COTABATO— For the first time after its completion, the highest governing official of the Province of Cotabato set foot in one of SCC’s flagship projects.

On Saturday, July 4, 2015, the Governor of the Province of Cotabato Hon. Emmylou “Lala” J. Taliño- Mendoza visited the SCC Nature Farm as she graced the celebration which SCC hosted for the birthday of Board of Trustees Chairman Hon. Moises O. Arendain.

Amidst her full schedule that day, the lady Governor took the time to join the celebration for Chairman Arendain and also grabbed the chance to see the works of SCC at the Nature Farm. The governor was welcomed by the College President and the rest of the members of the Board of Trustees. Chairman Arendain, who is also the Vice mayor of the municipality of Carmen is a longtime friend with the Taliños of the said town.

During her visit, the governor saw the development works done at the SCC Nature Farm. She also crossed the iconic SCC Friendship Bridge and went to some cottages to talk to some of the resort’s guests. She also had fun taking some pictures with some guests. The governor, who is also known for her dedication in promoting the province’s tourist attractions, appreciated SCC for its ministry at the Nature Farm.

SCC President Dr. Edwin T. Balaki extends his appreciation to the Governor for sharing some of her time. The Provincial Government is an active partner of SCC through its scholarship programs availed by SCC college students and the recent program on vegetable gardening where SCC is the chosen partner for the project implemented for the constituencies in the first district of Cotabato.
