PRESIDENT BALAKI: ALL PROJECTS READY FOR BLESSING BY OCTOBER 1
MIDSAYAP, COTABATO—All on-going projects inside the SCC campus are on time and will be ready for dedication on October 1, 2014, the President assured Monday.
In his message during the Morning Devotion at the SCC Chapel of the Dawn early today, Dr. Edwin T. Balaki said that the works for the Skyrooms, the expansion of the cafeteria and the SCC Gymnasium are going smoothly and running on time.
Engr. Julius Carnaje, the engineer in charged in the construction of the new SCC gymnasium also assured that all is going on as planned.
The President asks for the continued prayers of the entire SCC community for the realization of these projects.
Since February, the works have begun for the construction of the new gymnasium. In May, the works at the roof deck of the TechVoc and IT building started. The rooms above were later called the skyrooms.
During his second State of the College Address (SOCA) on July 28, 2014, the President rolled out his plans for the coming school year 2014-2015. One of these projects is the expansion of the SCC cafeteria. The works for the expansion started the day after on July 29.
Another project that was planned to be realized as stated by the President is the construction of the new Elementary building. The groundbreaking is set on October 1 together with the dedication of the skyrooms, Xenia Garden (the garden between the high school and the AVC buildings), cafeteria expansion and the gymnasium which is now called the SCC Fellowship Center.
A full blown production is expected during the opening of the gymnasium. This is to manifest celebration for the realization of this long- envisioned dream, Dr. Balaki said.
The dedication and groundbreaking ceremony of the projects are part of the celebration of SCC’s 65th Foundation Anniversary from October 1- 5, 2014.(scc-mpcd-jkballentes)
